Project Overview
Majan Modern Solutions is delivering an ongoing Integrated Management System (IMS) certification and audit programme for OQ Gas Networks (OQGN), supporting the continued certification and structured management of multiple ISO management systems across OQGN operations in the Sultanate of Oman.
The three-year engagement combines certification transfer, renewal and surveillance activities with multi-site audit planning, certification continuity, standard transition support and annual awareness training. The programme is designed to provide an efficient and coordinated approach for a complex national gas infrastructure organisation operating across multiple regions.
ISO Standards Covered
The programme covers five internationally recognised management system standards:
- ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems
- ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems
- ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- ISO 55001 – Asset Management Systems, including applicable transition requirements
- ISO 50001:2018 – Energy Management Systems
Project Scope
Majan Modern Solutions is coordinating the technical and administrative delivery of the IMS certification programme, including:
- Review of existing certificates, audit history and certification cycles.
- Certification transfer and renewal planning.
- Integrated and specialist surveillance audit coordination.
- Development of a three-year IMS audit programme.
- Multi-site audit planning and site rotation across OQGN operations.
- Coordination of qualified certification resources and accredited certification activities.
- Audit planning, on-site audit coordination, reporting and corrective-action follow-up where applicable.
- Certification continuity monitoring and management of key renewal and surveillance milestones.
- Support for relevant ISO standard transitions and updated certification requirements.
- Annual ISO General Awareness training aligned with the applicable management systems.
- Benchmarking and knowledge-exposure coordination as part of the wider IMS programme.
Multi-Site Coverage Across Oman
The project supports OQGN’s multi-site operations across key locations in Oman, including Muscat, Al Mabella, Fahud, Sohar, Sur, Duqm, Salalah, Nimr and Haima. The audit programme is structured to ensure appropriate site coverage while maintaining an efficient and coordinated certification approach.
Integrated Audit & Certification Approach
The project uses an integrated management-system approach wherever technically and accreditation-wise appropriate, while allowing specialist audit activities for standards that require dedicated technical competence. This helps reduce duplication, improve audit coordination and maintain consistency across quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, asset management and energy management systems.
Current Project Status
The project is currently in the implementation and audit-planning phase. The initial project kick-off has been completed, and the next stage focuses on finalising the audit programme, site coverage, certification sequencing and required technical deliverables.
